What is Hallowtide? Hallowtide includes three observances –
Hallowe’en, All Saints and All Souls.
Hallows is just an old English word for Saints.
All Hallows’ Eve (Hallowe’en) falls on October 31st.
Hallowmass (the Feast of All Hallows or All Saints) falls on
November 1st. The
Commemoration of All Souls falls on November 2nd.
All three observances should be seen together remembering the All
Saints observance as the central image.
All Saints reminds us of the victory of the redeemed who enjoy
everlasting bliss in the presence of God.

| Hallowtide at St.
Paul's The All Souls' Day Requiem Mass was held November 2nd. Earlier, on October 29th, St. Paul's sponsered "Trunk or Treat", a safe alternative for Halloween activities. Over a thousand visitors came to enjoy cider, donuts, candy, face painting and fellowship. Special thanks to the many volunteers that made the activity such a success. Our hats off to Erik and Kathy Heyboer who organized the event. |
