Silver Jubilee -

A Celebration of Father Bowyer's twenty five years in the Priesthood.

The Reverend Dr. Richard Bowyer received his education in England at Oxford and Exeter. He wasFather Richard Bowyer, Rector of St. Paul's ordained in the Church of England in 1984.  In 1995, he moved to the United States.   He served as a parish priest in Washington, DC for two years and in Berkeley, CA for eight years, during which time he was also Academic Dean of St. Joseph of Arimathea Anglican Theological College. He became Rector of St. Paul’s in 2005.

A special luncheon was held in his honor on Sunday, July 25, 2010. Father Bowyer was presented with gifts from the congregation and many well wishes.  Dr. Glynn Jenkins from the UK was the guest organist for the Silver Jubilee Mass.  Remarkably, Dr. Jenkins played for Father Bowyer's first Mass, twenty five years ago.

The members of St. Paul's have a deep regard for Father Bowyer.   On this celebration of his twenty five years in the Priesthood, we offer our best wishes and extend our gratitude for being our Priest, our Rector and our friend.
